ASMC Question of the Week: Can I Bill My Freight Account Rather Than Pay for UPS Shipping at Checkout?

Yes, we do have the ability for customers who want to ship their expedited orders out freight collect as an option on our website.
For those that may be new to what that means, shipping an item freight collect means that the shipping charges (i.e. freight), rather than be paid for at checkout, instead billed directly to the customer's account (i.e. collect).
When inquiring about the cost of freight we are NOT able to tell you the customer how much the shipping charges will be when billed freight collect because every customer account is rated differently based upon how often you ship/bill orders. There is not a set standard.
So how is this done? Upon entering the cart, select "will call pickup" as the shipping method and then in the text box below, enter in your UPS account number (six digits and can be a combination of letters and numbers). Please also indicate which service you'd like the parts shipped
UPS Red- Next Day Air
UPS Blue- 2nd Day Air
UPS Orange- 3 Day Select
UPS Ground
